Steven R. Clawson: 30 years of fighting for those who have been injured by the recklessness of others; making insurance companies pay
Mr. Clawson was born in San Francisco and raised in Marin; now firmly planted in Solano. Mr. Clawson graduated from Brigham Young University majoring in political science and was admitted to BYU’s J Reuben Clark Law School. While there, Mr. Clawson accepted an internship in Washington D.C. where he worked with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. In that capacity, he argued before the Commission in an effort to protect consumers and the environment. When he returned to Utah, Mr. Clawson worked in the Provo City Attorney’s office and prosecuted numerous criminal trials. Additionally, Mr. Clawson served as an editor of one of the law school’s prestigious publications – the BYU Journal of Public Law.
Mr. Clawson has practiced law in California since his admission to the State Bar in 1987. He is admitted to practice before all California State Courts, the U.S. Federal District Court in Northern California, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. In 2008, Mr. Clawson was honored to be admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.
Initially, Mr. Clawson worked for insurance companies defending tortfeasors. However, since 1991, with that insight and knowledge, Mr. Clawson has exclusively represented plaintiffs in personal injury litigation for whom it has been an honor to serve.
Mr. Clawson’s personal injury and civil litigation practice over the past thirty years has earned him recognition in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, The Top Trial Lawyers in America, one of the most prestigious groups of trial attorneys in the United States.
